Darius Skusevičius was appointed as the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania in January 2017. Prior to taking this position, he served as a Minister Counsellor at the Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the European Union (2015-2017). He also held a position of the Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania (2013-2015). In his current capacity as Vice-Minister, among other duties, Mr. Skusevičius supervises strengthening the Eastern Neighbourhood initiative, bilateral and multilateral relations with the countries of Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia. Mr. Skusevičius holds Master‘s Degree in International Relations and Political Science from Vilnius University (VU), as well as Bachelor‘s Degrees in Software Systems from the VU and in Business Management and Administration from University of Management and Economics.
